Responsibilities

Basic Function: This position involves facility maintenance duties and customer interaction. Previous experience is preferred but not required. The individual must perform with minimal supervision. Other duties include equipment servicing and general housekeeping tasks.

  • Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks as per checklists and supervisor instructions to keep all areas clean and debris-free using appropriate tools.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the garage to identify and address maintenance issues.
  • Clean entrances, exits, stairwells, and surface areas, including rails, booths, offices, and restrooms.
  • Empty trash cans in all designated areas.
  • Paint surfaces such as poles, signs, doors, walls, curbs, islands, and gates as directed to maintain appearance.
  • Replace burnt-out bulbs and apply oil absorbent to spills.
  • Report repair or maintenance needs.
  • Check safety equipment, such as gate arms, for proper operation and clearance.
  • Inspect ticket spitters and gates daily for proper function, supply, and appearance.
  • Maintain inventory of janitorial supplies and keep a sweep sheet for the garage/lot.
  • Operate equipment like sweepers, scrubbers, and outdoor tools for maintenance or construction tasks.
  • Shovel, plow, or blow snow from ramps and designated areas using appropriate equipment.
  • Report safety hazards, policy violations, or unusual incidents promptly.
  • Practice customer satisfaction principles, assist customers, and resolve complaints as needed.
  • Be familiar with all operational aspects and cover other roles such as cashier or attendant when required.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and arrive on time in uniform.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent, with possible additional skills in maintenance, electrical, or painting depending on the role.

License: Valid state driver’s license required if operating a company vehicle or driving on company business.

Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including third shift and weekends, based on location needs.

Skills: Clear communication, customer service orientation, adaptability, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to read, write, and interpret English.

Physical Demands: Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting (50+ lbs), climbing, bending, and working in various weather conditions. Accommodations may be provided for disabilities.

Salary Range: $18.50 - $19.00 per hour
