Position Summary
The Maintenance Planning Scheduler forecasts and schedules Long Term Maintenance events to ensure Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) compliance and maintain flight schedule integrity in JetBlue's Line Maintenance environment. The Scheduler supports the Line and Heavy Maintenance Planning teams by providing a stable framework that prevents overfly activity and prepares Technical Operations for upcoming workloads, balancing organizational needs.
Essential Responsibilities
- Develop, assess, and maintain a Long Term Maintenance Schedule to optimize workload assignments.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Materials, and Maintenance teams to prepare for upcoming workloads, including providing Task Guide Sheets, work grouping recommendations, and aircraft footprint planning.
- Schedule and support engine changes and modifications in Line Maintenance.
- Maintain the Maintenance Allocation tally and contribute to Fleet Plan discussions to report aircraft ground time and allocation needs.
- Collaborate with Strategic Planning to determine aircraft allocation for Minimum Network Requirements.
- Participate in Portfolio Management and Engineering Order (EO) Coordination meetings.
- Work with Long Term Planners to assign work supporting the maintenance plan.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least three years of relevant experience, which may include:
- Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic experience, preferably in a Part 121 airline.
- Aircraft Maintenance Planning experience, preferably in a Part 121 airline.
- Associate’s degree in an aviation-related engineering field with relevant experience.
- Knowledge of FARs, AMPs/MPDs, ADs, and SBs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Availability for occasional overnight travel (10%).
- Pre-employment drug test clearance.
- Legal eligibility to work in the US; visa sponsorship is not available.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Maintenance or related field.
- Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic Certification.
- Five years in Aircraft Maintenance Planning within a Part 121 airline.
- Proficiency in TRAX and Sabre/FliteTrac Plot.
- Experience with aircraft modifications, efficiency studies, and cost projects.
- Results-oriented with the ability to manage diverse operational requirements.

Compensation:
- Base pay ranges from $56,500 to $103,100, with additional benefits including healthcare, 401(k), stock purchase, disability, life insurance, travel perks, and more.
