Job summary

SBA Group operates SBA Home North Carolina, a cutting-edge, highly automated manufacturing site in the United States. We seek a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to diagnose, maintain, and repair machinery and equipment, ensuring safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production.

Training will start on first shift (6am–2pm) before transitioning to the 10pm–6am schedule. Responsibilities include routine inspections, troubleshooting, electrical work, and supporting installation and commissioning of new

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
  • Proven maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems, automated equipment, machinery, and facility electrical components.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, control, and automation issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, motors, drives, sensors, PLCs, control panels, and related equipment.
  • Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to support reliability and efficiency.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, diagrams, and manuals to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain work instructions related to electrical maintenance, safety procedures, TPM activities, and standard work.
  • Fabricate, modify, or repair electrical components and wiring systems as needed.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with quality standards, OSHA regulations, electrical codes, safety requirements, and environmental policies.
  • Maintain maintenance records, repair documentation, inspection reports, and inventory usage in the CMMS.
  • Support installation, startup, and commissioning of new electrical equipment, automation systems, and production machinery

About Us

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Mechanic to support the reliability and performance of our manufacturing operations. This role is responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing machinery and equipment throughout the plant to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted production (10pm-6am after training on 1st shift 6am - 2pm).

Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment or a similar industrial role.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, automated environment.
