We are looking for a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join our Care Chemicals team in Washington, NJ.

As a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler, you will play a vital role in driving efficient maintenance processes at the site. You will act as the key liaison between the Maintenance and Production teams, along with other supporting departments, to guarantee that internal customers receive timely, efficient, and high-quality service.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring timely and quality service for internal customers by maintaining awareness of site conditions, timely adjustments to maintenance schedules, and proactive maintenance initiatives that enhance equipment reliability and support production goals.
  • Supporting and adhering to the principles of the American Chemistry Council's Responsible Care, EPA, and OSHA initiatives by protecting the environment and ensuring the health, safety, and security of employees, contractors, carriers, distributors, visitors, customers, and neighbors.
  • Collaborating with the Maintenance Supervisor and E&I Supervisor to create and maintain a continuously updated three-week multi-craft maintenance schedule, ensuring parts availability and utilizing SAP tools for effective scheduling and daily work planning.
  • Providing technical and administrative support with a strong emphasis on teamwork while balancing long-range and short-range scheduling by regularly analyzing maintenance work backlog against available resources to maintain a proactive maintenance environment.
  • Planning turnarounds, developing job packages and resource libraries, informing management of critical situations, recommending process improvements, promoting resource conservation, and creating SAP Bills of Material (BOMs).
  • Preparing management reports, assisting with budget tracking and cost analysis, providing historical equipment cost data, supporting SAP procurement transactions, and completing other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
  • A minimum of six years of maintenance experience (or equivalent) in a chemical manufacturing environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of equipment and overall plant manufacturing processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical and instrumentation equipment, including maintenance practices, mechanical integrity, and inspection methods.
  • Strong technical expertise in preventive maintenance and repair activities for rotating equipment, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
  • Strong safety skills and compliance with OSHA and plant-specific procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagrams, engineering specifications, and engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical processes.
  • Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in the Windows operating system, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), and SAP.
