Job summary

Teknor Apex SC Plant in Fountain Inn, SC seeks a Maintenance Planner to develop PM schedules, review requests, and prepare detailed work orders. You will maintain CMMS records, coordinate with maintenance, production and purchasing, and track KPIs to drive reliability and cost efficiency.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance, and CMMS/Microsoft Office proficiency. Some roles prefer an associate degree in Mechatronics or Industrial Maintenance.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance.
Associates degree preferred in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance or related field.
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for all plant equipment and systems.
Review work requests, verify job scope, and prioritize maintenance activities.
Prepare detailed work orders including job steps, materials, tools, estimated labor, and safety requirements.
Maintain accurate equipment history, maintenance logs, and CMMS documentation.
Coordinate with Maintenance Technicians, Supervisors, and Production to minimize downtime.
Track maintenance KPIs (PM compliance, downtime, MTBF/MTTR) and report to management.
Support continuous improvement initiatives for reliability and cost reduction.
Maintain up-to-date asset data and ensure procedures meet safety/regulatory standards.
Assist with contractor management and ensure site policies are followed.
Schedule ISO activities and audit completed work orders for accuracy.
