Role Overview

We are seeking a Maintenance Planner – Outage Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will coordinate and oversee recurring major equipment outage maintenance activities, including scope, budget, and contractor management. You will work closely with maintenance and operations leadership to ensure proper planning, scheduling, and execution of major equipment and process turnarounds.

Your Tasks
  • Develop and refine major equipment and process work scopes, budgets, and timelines.
  • Develop and refine contractor work scopes for recurring and one-off tasks.
  • Oversee outage and turnaround planning meetings and agendas.
  • Facilitate post-outage and critical job critiques.
  • Coordinate with corporate outage planning standardization efforts.
  • Backup planner during vacations and absences.
  • Create detailed work plans, including labor and materials, ensuring work orders are complete and accurate.
  • Maintain a library of outage and shutdown work plans, including preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
  • Produce weekly maintenance schedules.
  • Educate stakeholders on maintenance workflows.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff to organize outage parts and materials.
  • Ensure Asset PMs are executed, service reports are retained, and filed in SAP.
Your Profile
  • 4-5 years of experience in maintenance planning or related fields.
  • Experience with industrial shutdown planning, critical path planning, and Gantt charts.
  • Contractor management, scope development, and cost optimization skills.
  • Strong understanding of maintenance principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Project, or similar software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Good vision, hearing, and coordination, with the ability to wear PPE and travel as needed.
