Job summary

Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. in Hibbing, MN, is seeking a Maintenance Planner to organize, plan and coordinate maintenance work orders and develop comprehensive work plans.

You will document procedures, source parts, and help build a library of standard jobs to support efficient execution. The role requires 2-year technical education and 3–5 years in mining/mineral processing or heavy industry, with project startup experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree in technical field or equivalent.
• 3-5 years’ recent experience at a mining/mineral processing facility or heavy industry.
• Project experience, including installation and startup, is helpful.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills such as team building and conflict resolution are required.

Responsibilities

• Organize incoming work orders into defined, planned work packages.
• Develop and document work procedures and scopes using Ellipse system.
• Identify, specify, and order required contract labor, parts, tooling, and equipment to complete the work plan.
• Build parts and standard jobs resource library.
• Ensure safety compliance and MSHA standards in all work areas.
• Develop short-range and long-range maintenance plans and budgets.
• Coordinate and communicate daily/weekly maintenance plans with all stakeholders.
• Ensure work orders are closed when completed.
