Job summary

Calpine, America's largest generator using gas and geothermal resources, seeks a skilled Maintenance Planner to coordinate schedules and resources, helping the plant perform reliably while controlling costs.

You will partner with management to balance maintenance needs, budgets and timelines, ensuring safe, compliant operations across facilities and coordinating with teams on outages and work packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and vocational/technical experience, or equivalent in maintenance or engineering.
• Expert in department software, databases, and spreadsheets; strong maintenance/plant operations knowledge.
• 2–4 years’ relevant experience expected.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements maintenance plans and work schedules.
• Assess maintenance requests and allocate staffing resources.
• Coordinate with plant management to optimize productivity and reduce downtime.
• Prepare work scopes, budgets, and material requirements.
• Monitor backlogs and prioritise maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with operations on safety and critical components.
