Conagra Brands is seeking a Senior Maintenance Planner/Engineer to lead planning, scheduling, and execution of maintenance in assigned manufacturing areas, driving reliability improvements and small to mid-scale capital projects. You will partner with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Storeroom teams to optimize resources and ensure safe, efficient work.
The role requires strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, SAP Plant Maintenance, and leadership to guide Maintenance
Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer, you will lead maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution activities within assigned manufacturing areas while supporting reliability improvements and small to mid-scale capital projects. You will partner with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Storeroom teams to improve equipment reliability, optimize maintenance resources, and support a proactive maintenance culture through effective work management and continuous improvement.
Lead the planning, prioritization, and scheduling of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities. Develop and maintain job plans, labor estimates, bills of material, and maintenance records within SAP. Coordinate maintenance work execution, labor allocation, contractor activities, and shutdown planning. Partner with Operations and Maintenance leaders to improve schedule adherence, plan attainment, and equipment reliability. Monitor maintenance performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Analyze maintenance history and reliability data to address recurring equipment issues and improve asset performance. Lead small to mid-scale equipment upgrades, reliability, safety, and obsolescence projects. Support larger capital projects through planning and execution coordination. Provide leadership and direction to Maintenance Technicians within assigned areas and escalated staffing or performance issues as needed. Maintain a strong field presence to remove execution barriers and support safe, efficient work completion. Participate in root cause analysis, reliability reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives. Champion safety, lockout/tagout compliance, food safety, and good manufacturing practices.

When visiting these sites, the physical requirements below may apply: You may be required to walk around the facility, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks that require hand-eye coordination. You may be required to lift or carry materials that can vary in weight and size. This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. Noise levels can be high, and temperatures may vary.
Annual Base Salary: $64,000.00 - $85,000.00 The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
