Job summary

Owens-Illinois, Inc. in Ringgold is seeking a Maintenance Planner to schedule plant maintenance activities and coordinate with production to minimize downtime.

The role requires strong planning, documentation, and CMMS experience, with opportunities for professional growth and a comprehensive benefits package. Salary ranges from $75,000 to $90,000 per year, plus a 12% quarterly incentive bonus, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate or Bachelor degree in a technical discipline preferred.
• Previous industrial maintenance experience is desired.
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Job Change Coordinator and production staff to plan maintenance during downtime and maintain a planned maintenance schedule for the facility.
• Provide documentation of upcoming work, including parts lists / kits required.
• Review and improve the maintenance and planning processes to improve efficiency and remove waste, including but not limited to cost, manning and materials.
• Understand storeroom inventories, min/max, and work with storeroom personnel to manage parts inventory and prioritize ordering against available M&E budgets.
• Interface with the safety observation, walk-and-talk, and near-miss processes within the plant to ensure alignment of maintenance resources and activities to improve employee safety and environmental compliance.

Job Description

The Maintenance Planner schedules the maintenance work activity in the plant.

The Maintenance Planner will:

• Coordinate with Job Change Coordinator and production staff to plan maintenance during downtime and maintain a planned maintenance schedule for the facility.

The Maintenance Planner should have:

• Excellent computer literacy and proficiency.
• Knowledge of basic mechanical parts (motors, gear boxes, bearings).
• Experience managing projects
• Ability to interact with all levels within the organization

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• Associate degree or Bachelor degree in a technical discipline preferred
• Previous industrial maintenance experience is desired
• Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) is a plus

What we offer at O-I:

Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $75,000-$90,000 includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
