Job summary

DSJ Global is seeking a Maintenance Planner for a leading food and beverage manufacturer in the Greater New York City area. The role focuses on maintenance planning, reliability, and execution to support plant equipment performance.

The candidate will manage CMMS, plan shutdowns, coordinate work orders, and collaborate with Operations to ensure staffing, parts, and contractors are ready for planned activities. Excellent organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of maintenance planning, supervision, or reliability experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Strong knowledge of CMMS systems, preventive maintenance programs, equipment reliability, and maintenance best practices.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance schedules, plant shutdowns, work orders, and maintenance activities (mechanical and electrical).
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Project management or capital projects experience; ability to support off-shift/weekend activities as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the facility's CMMS, including work orders, asset records, maintenance schedules, and reporting.
  • Develop and maintain preventive and predictive maintenance programs for all plant equipment.
  • Plan and coordinate plant shutdowns, downtime events, and major maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules with operations; ensure labor, materials, contractors and parts are available.
  • Support equipment reliability initiatives, continuous improvement, and capital projects.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and vendor relationships while promoting safe work practices.

Maintenance Planner needed for Leading Food and Beverage Manufacturer.

  • Maintenance Team.
  • Greater New York City area
  • $85,000-$120,000
  • Shift: 1 st (6:30am-4pm) or 2nd (2pm-11:30pm)

One of our leading food and beverage manufacturing clients is looking to bring on a Maintenance Planner to support the maintenance and reliability of all plant equipment. This person will play a critical role in supporting equipment reliability, maintenance execution, and overall plant performance.

Qualifications for the Maintenance Planner include:

  • 4+ years of maintenance planning, maintenance supervision, or reliability experience within a manufacturing, packaging, or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CMMS systems, preventive maintenance programs, equipment reliability, and maintenance best practices.
  • Experience coordinating maintenance schedules, plant shutdowns, work orders, and mechanical and electrical maintenance activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Project management or capital project experience preferred; flexibility to support off-shift and weekend activities as needed.

  • Support equipment reliability initiatives, continuous improvement efforts, equipment upgrades, and capital projects throughout the facility.
  • Manage spare parts inventory, vendor relationships, and maintenance-related purchasing activities while promoting safe work practices.
