Maintenance Planner
Hastings, NE - Soy-445

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is currently hiring for a maintenance planner at our soy processing facility in Hastings, NE. The person in this role will provide leadership in management of warehouse and spare parts inventory to include purchasing and act as the EAM administrator. The maintenance planner will also promote departmental safety and employee morale through team leadership principles. In addition, this person will assist the Maintenance Superintendent and/or Supervisor as needed.



Responsibilities:



  • Maintain primary control of warehouse organization and spare parts inventory.

  • Execute primary purchasing agent functions for the facility in procurement of spare parts and consumables.

  • Perform EAM Administrator duties for the warehouse and development of assts for the facility.

  • Assist in the development of PM schedules for each asset and build data bases for the assets to include vendor information, part numbers, manuals, blueprints, training materials and maintenance procedures.

  • Take charge of morale and employee involvement within the maintenance department.

  • Provide direct control of safety and security of department employees.

  • Provide secondary control of expenditures associated with the maintenance of the facility.

  • Create shutdown work orders in EAM and ensure corrective action, man hours and spare parts/ materials used are tracked for future reference.

  • Work with appropriate departments on freight and invoicing issues, implementation of EAM system and improving efficiencies.



  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

  • Technical degree or equivalent

  • 5 years of related maintenance field with warehouse/management experience

  • Experience in computerized maintenance management system preferred

  • Knowledge of inventory control techniques.

  • Strong planning, organizing, problem solving and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with senior management, co-workers, customers, and outside business contacts.

  • Leadership qualities with the ability to train, develop and motivate employees.

  • Ability to attend to detail and maintain accurate information.

  • Rotational on-call availability required.
