Job summary

Cargill is seeking a Maintenance Planner for our Ag & Trading enterprise in Illinois. The role focuses on developing maintenance plans, coordinating with teams, and ensuring accurate records and materials for efficient plant operations.

The ideal candidate will have mechanical/electrical maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills, and proficiency in basic computing. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive benefits and growth potential.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Mechanical and/or electrical experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and operation manuals.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied indoor/outdoor conditions.
• Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develop job plans and task lists to support preventative, predictive, and reactive maintenance.
• Engage with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement of facility operations.
• Maintain records, work orders, and capital projects using computer software.
• Procure maintenance materials and manage inventory for maintenance jobs.
• Understand and follow safety policies and procedures; keep a safe, clean work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
