Job summary

General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT is seeking a Maintenance Pipefitter to install, maintain and troubleshoot multiple piping systems. The role requires 5+ years of plumbing/piping experience and the ability to obtain a secret clearance.

You will layout piping systems, work independently or in teams, and be ready to support overtime and emergency responses. Candidates should have HS Diploma or GED and preferably P2/S2 licenses.

Qualifications

Overview

Applicant must be proficient in the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of multiple piping systems (steam, inert gas, low and high pressure air, pure water, potable water, propane, oxygen, plumbing and fire protection systems). Applicant must be able to troubleshoot piping system including but not limited to condensate pumping systems. Applicant will be required to layout piping systems with or without prints. Applicant should be able to work independently and within a team environment. Applicant must be willing to work overtime, support emergency situations.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED or 2+ years of related technical experience
• 5+ years of plumbing/piping experience in industrial and/or commercial environments
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret clearance
