Job summary

Agupdate is seeking a Maintenance Man / Property Technician to support a busy portfolio of commercial properties across Manatee and Sarasota Counties. This full-time role requires hands-on ability with plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks at a basic level, plus a reliable vehicle and a toolbox.

You will perform preventative maintenance, handle tenant service requests, document work, and help coordinate vendor scheduling for larger jobs.

Qualifications

• At least three years of maintenance experience.
• Own vehicle or reliable transportation.
• A set of handyman tools for on-site work.
• Ability to perform basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on properties.
• Address tenant service requests in a timely manner.
• Conduct routine property inspections.

Maintenance Man / Property Technician

A busy commercial property management company is hiring a maintenance man for immediate placement. This full-time position requires a candidate with at least three years of maintenance experience, their own truck or dependable vehicle, and a set of handyman tools. The properties you will service are located throughout Manatee and Sarasota County, so reliable transportation is essential.

As a Property Technician, your responsibilities will include performing preventative maintenance, addressing tenant service requests, conducting routine inspections, and executing repairs related to plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC on a basic level. Additional duties may include painting, drywall repair, door and lock replacement, and exterior maintenance tasks. You will need to document completed work, communicate effectively with property management staff, and help manage vendor scheduling when larger jobs are required.

We are seeking applicants with demonstrated competence in troubleshooting and completing common maintenance tasks, strong references from previous employers or property managers, and a professional work ethic. The position requires attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and prioritize multiple assignments across several properties.
