Job summary

The City of Twinsburg is seeking a full-time, union employee for municipal maintenance with benefits and time off upon meeting eligibility. The role covers upkeep of city facilities, sewer/ditch and street work, snow plowing, and equipment operation.

A valid Ohio Class A CDL with tanker endorsement is required, and the candidate must be eligible to work in the United States. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and ongoing city-sponsored training.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; 2–5 years related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and governmental regulations.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a team.
• Must possess valid State of Ohio Class A CDL with tanker endorsement and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performs upkeep for the City and the City’s facilities.

Job description

This is a full-time, union position with benefits and time off, upon meeting eligibility requirements. Employees start out at pay range Level 1 and progress through six pay range levels.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs upkeep for the City and the City’s Facilities.
• Cleans and repairs sewers, ditches, signs, and sidewalks.
• Performs street and road repairs.
• Operates a mower and performs various landscaping duties, leaf pickup, mulching, tree trimming, branch chipping, etc.
• Plows snow throughout City streets and City property.
• Operation of motor vehicles related to work duties.
• Performs various duties on construction projects.
• Must participate in all city-sponsored training and continuing education activities including classroom, manufacturer provided, seminars, etc.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess and maintain a valid State of Ohio, Class A Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement and an acceptable driving record.
