Silgan Closures in Richmond, IN seeks a Purchasing & Parts Attendant to manage inventory, purchase orders, and parts for maintenance and production. You will work with maintenance, engineering, operations, and accounting to ensure material availability and supplier coordination on site.

The role requires 3+ years in purchasing/inventory control within manufacturing, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with ERP and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years in purchasing, inventory control, warehouse operations, materials management, or manufacturing.
• Experience with purchase orders, inventory systems, and vendor coordination.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; ERP/inventory/purchasing systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Purchase, track, and maintain inventory of maintenance parts, consumables, and plant supplies.
• Create and monitor purchase orders for timely procurement of materials and services.
• Receive, inspect, store, and issue parts to support maintenance and production.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP and inventory management systems.
• Coordinate with vendors, manage deliveries, and support vendor-managed inventory programs.
• Monitor inventory levels and identify replenishment needs to prevent downtime.
• Review equipment documentation and part specs to source replacement components.
• Perform administrative and inventory-related tasks using Microsoft Office and purchasing systems.
• Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, accounting, and operations teams.
