Job summary

Perdue Farms Inc. in Perry, GA is seeking a Maintenance Receiving Clerk to keep operations running smoothly by ensuring timely flow of parts, supplies and information, while maintaining accurate inventory records.

The role focuses on organizing the supply room, processing purchase requisitions, and coordinating expediting of open orders to support maintenance and plant reliability. Candidates should have inventory/receiving experience and solid computer skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in Inventory control or receiving.
• Strong reading, math, writing, communication, analytical skills and basic mechanical aptitude required with a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate departmental paperwork flow for Receiving, Purchasing, Issues and credits, physical inventories and report generation.
• Process/purchase specified purchase requisitions for stock and non-stock items departmental operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate perpetual inventory system, computer record system and hard copy documentation files.
• Coordinate the expediting of all open orders to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
• Organize and coordinate the daily operations of the Supply Room.
• Cross train and fill in as required for all other department positions.
• Follow all company and government rules and regulations relating to safety, health and products as required by the plant, department, OSHA and USDA.
• Adhere to all safety requirements including PPE; preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedure and Process Safety Management related matters.
