Job summary

SSC Services For Education is hiring a Maintenance Technician (Painter) for a full-time, on-site role in Commerce, TX. You will perform skilled maintenance tasks, including painting, and support electrical/mechanical systems with guidance from supervisors.

The job requires prior maintenance experience and offers a benefits package, same-day pay, and opportunities for training and growth. Full-time schedule is typical with weekday hours.

Qualifications

• Four years of skilled trade school or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of experience as a maintenance technician in an institutional setting.
• Two years of experience as a licensed Journeyman in the specialized trade.
• Must have one of the following licenses or equivalents (Master or Journeyman options).
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Assists in decisions on repairs; reports major problems to supervisor.
• Maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical building systems and related equipment.
• Cleans, lubricates, services, and diagnoses malfunction of HVAC and other systems.
• Supervises and leads a group of workers on a project.
• Reads and transmits complex instructions; teaches maintenance skills.
