Job summary

CROSSROADS RHODE ISLAND is seeking a Maintenance Painter to maintain a safe, clean, and well-painted environment at our facilities in Providence, RI. The role involves preparing surfaces, mixing and applying paints, and performing routine maintenance while prioritizing quality and safety.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and proven painting experience, with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; related apprenticeship/technical training helpful.
• Proven experience as a painter; one year or more painting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces and mix paints for various needs.
• Apply paint with brushes or rollers on walls, ceilings, and other surfaces.
• Prepare walls by scraping and sanding; remove old paint as needed.
• Repair damaged surfaces, holes, and cracks.
• Inspect surfaces to determine work needed and plan tasks.
• Perform routine painting maintenance and complete work orders.
• Ensure timely turnovers of units and common areas; provide good customer service.
