Adults and Children with Learning Disabilities in Bethpage, NY is seeking a Painter for full-time work at multiple program facilities. The role focuses on painting interiors and exteriors, drywall repair, and surface preparation to keep buildings safe, attractive, and compliant with safety standards.

Responsibilities include preparing surfaces, matching finishes, operating sprayers and ladders, and maintaining clean work areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years painting, drywall repair, or related maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in residential, commercial, healthcare, or institutional facilities preferred.
• Valid New York State Driver License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, repair, and paint interior and exterior surfaces.
• Perform drywall installation, patching, repair, and finishing.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, caulking, and patching as needed.
• Match and mix paints and finishes to achieve desired results.
• Operate and maintain painting tools and equipment, including sprayers, ladders, scaffolding, and lifts.
• Protect furniture, fixtures, flooring, and equipment during projects.
• Comply with OSHA regulations, SDS requirements, and all safety procedures.
