Maintenance Painter-Mount Sinai Morningside

Prepare, paint, and maintain internal and external surfaces throughout the building.


Responsibilities
  • Applies coats of paint, varnish lacquer, stains or enamel to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings and fixtures of buildings interior
  • Smoothes surfaces using sandpaper, brushes or steel wool and removes old paint from surfaces, using paint remover, scraper or wire brush to prepare surfaces for painting
  • Patches, fills nail holes, cracks, etc. with putty, plaster, sheet rock, taping and any necessary filler
  • Selects premixed paints or prepares paint to match specified colors by mixing required portions of pigment, oil and thinning and drying substance
  • Creates special effects applying paint with cloth, brush, sponge or fingers

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

  • One year or more.

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $36.2549 - $36.4149 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
