Job summary

Ponte Vedra Inn & Club in Northeast Florida is seeking a skilled Painter to join our Engineering team. This historic resort is undergoing renovations to maintain luxury standards and exquisite finishes.

You will perform patching, interior finishes, and exterior painting, maintain logs, and respond to maintenance requests while upholding safety and teamwork.

A High School Diploma or equivalent and the ability to lift 50 pounds, with a valid driver's license, are required.

  • 1+ years of general engineering and maintenance experience.
  • Must be able to lift, carry and move 50 pounds and work outside in all weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain all hotel touch ups and painting throughout the property.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and split shifts.
  • Respond to trouble calls in hotel rooms from housekeeping and guests.
  • Maintain a log of all areas reworked, including dates, materials used, and color.

We are currently seeking a skilled Painter to join our Engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the continued enhancement of our historic resort as we move through exciting renovations and property improvements. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining the beauty, quality, and luxury standards our members and guests expect—from detailed interior finishes to large-scale exterior projects.

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language at a level sufficient to communicate effectively with clients, members, guests, and staff.

Job Knowledge:Basic knowledge of building maintenance and inspection to include; reporting of maintenance and paint discrepancies.

Job Summary: Repair and maintain all hotel touch ups and painting throughout the property.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include weekends, holidays and split shifts as requested.

2. Arrive to work on time, consistently.

3. Upon entering the property, arrive in proper uniform, crisp, clean and in good repair.

4. Hair must be clean and cut in a becoming style; management has final approval.

5. Attend all required training, safety courses; attend office and departmental meetings.

6. Report any safety hazards, follow up that hazard has been corrected, and assist with providing a safe work environment.

7. Follow daily the property’s safety procedures associated with the position and equipment used.

8. Interact in a positive manner with guests and other staff.

9. Responsible for performing all phases of finishing work pertaining to the application of patching, repair and painting.

10. Assist in the selection of materials pertaining to this phase of decoration.

11. Maintain a log of all areas that have been reworked, to include the date, the type of material used, and the color.

12. Maintain all material pertaining to this operation.

13. Maintain work area and all common areas of the Maintenance Department.

14. Assist all other maintenance functions as time allows, including answering the phones in the Maintenance Department.

15. Responsible to respond to trouble calls in hotel rooms from housekeeping and guests.

16. Make keys for property.

17. Knowledgeable of Material Safety Data Sheets and information they provide including; proper labeling procedures.

18. Perform and follow up on any other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer.

Job Requirements:

  • 1+ years of general engineering and maintenance experience
  • Must be able to lift, carry and move 50 pounds. Able to work outside in all weather conditions for long periods of time and be able to move about the property.
  • Valid driver's license required.
