Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in a hands-on maintenance related role.

• NJ Boiler License (Low Pressure or higher) a Plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate timely response and clear communication to avoid business operation disruptions.
• Perform visual inspections of mechanical and electrical rooms and report issues to shift supervisor.
• Keep management informed of situations impacting operations.
• Maintain knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems throughout the facility.
• Serve as the Facility backup Maintenance Operator.
• Collaborate with supervision and team to develop operating skills.
• Monitor conditions and adjust building systems as needed.
• Communicate unresolved situations to supervision.

Company located in Trenton is seeking a Maintenance Operator for a temporary position. The Maintenance Operator will assist with the daily operation of all facility systems, consisting of HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, building automation, and backup power systems. Performs minor work assignments as needed on their own or with other maintenance staff. Works closely with supervisors keeping them advised of operations and unresolved situations. Maintains and repairs numerous varying types of equipment. The individual in this role can work 2nd Shift: Monday through Friday from 3pm to 11:30pm OR 3rd Shift: Sunday through Thursday 11:00pm to 7:30am. The duration of the assignment will be 3 to 4 months. Great working environment!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate a high regard for timely response and clear communication in response to situations that could impact business operations.


• Perform visual inspections of mechanical and electrical rooms and mission critical equipment and communicate any concerns or problems to the shift supervisor.


• Keep management informed in a timely manner of all situations which may impact business operations.


• Proactively study, review, and maintain a working knowledge and understanding of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection systems throughout the facility.


• Serve as the Facility backup Maintenance Operator.


• Work closely with supervision, other members of the group, and independently to develop job specific skills that are necessary to become proficient in operating procedures.


• Communicate any unresolved situations to supervision

Required Qualifications:

Minimum & Desired Education:

• High School, GED or Trade School Diploma

Certifications & License Requirements:

• New Jersey State – Low Pressure (or higher) Boiler License a Plus
