Job summary

Cabot's Grand Bear Golf Club in Saucier, MS is seeking a Maintenance Operator I to support day-to-day course upkeep, including mowing, turf care, equipment operation, and ensuring optimal course conditions for members and guests.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of golf course maintenance, ability to work outdoors in varied weather, and physical stamina; a state pesticide applicator license is preferred or required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Understanding of the game of golf and course conditions.
• Previous golf course or landscape maintenance experience.
• Appropriate state pesticide applicators license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the greens, including mowing, plugging, verticutting, sodding, and ball mark repairs.
• Change cups, pin locations, and tee placements; repair divots.
• Check and maintain condition of cups, flags, and tee markers.
• Check ball washers, remove debris, and empty trash.
• Communicate effectively with team members and guests.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor or club needs.

Position Overview

The Maintenance Operator I support the day-to-day maintenance of the golf course.

Physical Demands
