Job summary

Pentair is seeking a Maintenance Operator for the 2nd shift in North Aurora, IL. You will develop and execute machine preventative maintenance schedules across CNC, injection molding, fabrication, welding, assembly, testing, HVAC and facility equipment.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC issues, perform repairs, and document root causes and improvements. CMMS is used to manage work orders and parts inventory.

Qualifications

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC problems on machinery and equipment.
• CNC repair knowledge REQUIRED for this role.
• Experience with preventive & predictive maintenance.
• Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical prints/schematics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC problems on machinery and equipment to determine repairs or replacements.
• Establish and document troubleshooting processes based on findings.
• Repair and fabricate on CNC, Injection Molding, Fabrication, Welding, Assembly, Testing, HVAC and Facility equipment.
• Determine root cause of maintenance issues and document improvements.
• Work from prints, schematics, drawings and sketches including electrical, hydraulic, air, plumbing and structural.
• Operate with CMMS to manage work orders, PMs and parts inventory.

You will develop and execute Machine Preventative Maintenance Schedules including predictive maintenance on all types of CNC, Injection Molding, Fabrication, Welding, Assembly, Testing, HVAC, and Facility equipment.You will:Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and PLC problems on machinery and equipment to determine the extent and method of repairs and/or replacement of worn or defective parts. Establish and document a troubleshooting process based on findings.Perform a wide variety of repairs and/or fabrications on various machines and production equipment such as: CNC, Injection Molding, Fabrication, Welding, Assembly, Testing, HVAC and Facility equipment.Determine root cause of maintenance issues. Suggest, execute and document necessary improvements. Root Cause Analysis training is a plus.Work from prints, schematics, drawings and sketches. Including electrical, hydraulic, air, plumbing and structural.Work with CMMS system to manage Maintenance work order requests, PM’s and order replacement parts and materials to maintain inventory.Key Qualifications:Ability to diagnose and fix CNC mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and control issues.CNC repair knowledge is REQUIRED for this role.Experience with preventive & predictive maintenance.Ability to interpret electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical prints/schematics.Experience identifying failure causes and recommending improvementsExperience managing work orders, PMs, and parts inventory (CMMS).Experience with equipment – CNC, injection molding, fabrication, welding, assembly, testing, HVAC, and facility systems.Must be comfortable with heights.Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting, and lowering weights up to 40lbs.Steel-toed footwear is required.Compensation:The hourly pay for this role is $35.07/hour, plus $0.45 shift differential while working on 2nd shift. Opportunity for a rate increase after you are proficient in certain skills and have fulfilled training.
