The Maintenance of Traffic laborer performs temporary traffic control operations to maintain traffic flow on roadway construction sites, ensuring public safety within designated work zones. Responsibilities include highway maintenance tasks and adherence to all applicable regulations, policies, and safety guidelines.

Essential Job Functions:

• Set up and maintain traffic control devices, signs, and lights
• Manage traffic control activities including detours and lane closures
• Coordinate with on-site client representatives or officials
• Load and unload equipment
• Deliver and pick up equipment from job sites
• Supervise traffic control laborers to ensure compliance with MOT guidelines
• Assess conditions and recommend traffic maintenance procedures
• Complete daily reports and paperwork
• If licensed, operate company vehicles following safety standards
