Job summary

Georgia-Pacific’s Osb plant in Hosford, Florida is hiring a Maintenance Millwright. This highly skilled hourly role requires safe work practices and hands-on maintenance of manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to plant safety guidelines and procedures
• Participate in safety programs
• Meet production, waste, and quality goals via maintenance program
• Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair and maintain machinery
• Perform periodic maintenance to prevent breakdowns
• Lift, walk, climb, stoop, stand, push/pull in a loud industrial setting
• Communicate with operations to prioritize maintenance needs

Georgia-Pacific’s Oriented Strand Board (OSB) plant in Hosford, Florida has an incredible opportunity for a Maintenance Millwright. This is a highly skilled hourly position requiring a thorough understanding of safe work practices, troubleshooting, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.

Following a training and onboarding period, this position may move to a 12 Hour Rotating Shift. Individuals in this role must be able to commit to working nights, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.

What You Will Do

• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Actively participate in safety programs
• Help meet or exceed production, waste, and quality goals through a quality maintenance program
• Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment for improved reliability and uptime
• Perform periodic maintenance to identify and correct mechanical defects before they lead to equipment failure and downtime
• Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to twelve hours a day, in a loud/noisy, and industrial, high volume environment
• Communicate with operations associates to identify and prioritize maintenance needs

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• One or more years’ of experience working in a maintenance position

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience with troubleshooting conveyers, pneumatics, hydraulic systems, and pumps
• Completion of an approved apprentice program, associate degree or Trade School Certification in the mechanical field
• Two or more years’ experience repairing industrial machinery in a technical mechanical maintenance role
• Experience with welding and fabrication
