Job summary

Weyerhaeuser's Holden Lumber Mill in Louisiana is hiring experienced Maintenance Millwrights to keep our sawmill operations running safely and efficiently. Join a team that values precision, reliability, and continuous improvement.

You'll perform mechanical maintenance on motors, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems; troubleshoot breakdowns; and support welding, fabrication, and regular inspections. We offer competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of industrial mechanical maintenance/millwright experience or equivalent.
• Experience in lumber manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proficiency with hand/power tools and technical drawings.
• Able to lift heavy components and work in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled mechanical maintenance, installation, and repairs on motors, conveyors, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot breakdowns and determine effective repair actions.
• Conduct inspections, lubrication, cleaning, and welding/fabrication as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow safety protocols including lockout procedures.
• Work independently and with the maintenance team.

About The Holden Facility

Our Holden mill includes a log yard, sawmill, dry kilns, planer, and shipping operations. As a Maintenance Millwright, you’ll play a critical role in keeping our operations running smoothly and safely.

What You’ll Do

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High school diploma or GED
• At least 5 years of industrial mechanical maintenance/millwright experience OR equivalent education/experience OR 3 years in a lumber manufacturing environment as a mechanical maintenance/millwright
• Proficiency with hand/power tools, precision instruments, and technical drawings
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems
• Ability to lift heavy components, work in confined spaces, and tolerate extreme temperatures
• Welding and torch work experience
• Familiarity with SAP/S4 preferred
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to work any shift, weekends, and holidays
• Commitment to safety and continuous learning
