Job Title

Georgia‑Pacific’s Oriented Strand Board (OSB) plant in Alcolu, South Carolina is seeking a Maintenance Millwright to support a highly skilled, hourly position that requires a thorough understanding of safe work practices, troubleshooting, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures.
• Participate actively in safety programs.
• Help meet or exceed production, waste, and quality goals through a quality maintenance program.
• Troubleshoot, install, align, dismantle, repair and maintain industrial machinery and mechanical equipment to improve reliability and uptime.
• Perform periodic maintenance to identify and correct mechanical defects before they lead to equipment failure and downtime.
• Communicate with operations associates to identify and prioritize maintenance needs.

Required Qualifications

• Experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and pumps.
• Experience with fabrication and welding.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings, and pumps, including lubrication.
• Certification in welding.
• Experience with machine tool and die.
• Experience reading blueprints and performing precision measurements.
• Experience using a computer for record‑keeping and documentation functions.
• High school diploma or GED.

Work Schedule

Must commit to a 12‑hour rotating shift, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
