Job summary

The Lubrizol Corporation in Avon Lake, OH is seeking a Maintenance Mechanical Craftsperson/Technician for a full-time, on-site role. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule (4-10s) from 7am to 5pm and involves repairing and maintaining chemical manufacturing equipment.

You will troubleshoot rotating equipment, install piping, and perform preventative maintenance while collaborating with operations engineers and other trades. A safety-first mindset and ability to work overtime are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings (P&ID's).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and work at heights.
• Willingness to wear a respirator and participate in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repair on plant equipment, including pumps, seals, gearboxes, and rotating machinery.
• Install new piping and equipment and repair existing systems.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and mechanical integrity checks.
• Maintain documentation with Reliability Engineering and CMMS systems.
• Work overtime on off shifts and weekends as needed.
