Job summary

The Logical Balance in North Carolina is seeking a Maintenance - Mechanical - Industrial Mfg professional for the day shift (7-4). You will diagnose, repair and troubleshoot industrial equipment, respond to mill breakdowns, and collaborate with operators to minimize downtime.

Requirements include a certified Mechanic trade or a 2-year mechanical degree with related experience, 3+ years in industrial mechanical work, basic welding, and the ability to work extended hours and heights in a

Qualifications

• Holds the equivalent of a certified Mechanic trade or a 2-year degree in mechanical studies with related experience.
• 3+ years of industrial mechanical experience (bearings, hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes).
• Welding and fabrication skills are helpful.

Responsibilities

• Respond to mill breakdowns and work with area operators to fix maintenance issues.
• Investigate root causes of equipment failure and recommend long-term fixes.
• Lead troubleshooting and document maintenance items in logs.
• Handle follow-ups and create work requests for needed tasks.
• Provide recommendations for improving troubleshooting resources (prints, manuals, tools, parts).
• Install, calibrate equipment or machinery.
• Maintain lockout certifications as assigned.

DAY SHIFT - 7-4 pm

• Holds the equivalent of a certified Mechanic trade or a 2-year degree in mechanical studies combined with related experience
• 3+ years of industrial mechanical experience required (including bearings, hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes)
• Some Welding and Fabrication skills helpful
• Ability to use a variety of mechanical troubleshooting equipment and techniques (i.E. Laser alignment)
• Experience in reliability techniques & knowledge of lubrication principles is an asset
• Strong, demonstrated troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work extended hours and rotating shifts as required
• Ability to work at heights in a manufacturing environment required

Job Responsibilities

• Respond to mill breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner and work closely with area operators to resolve maintenance-related issues
• Investigate the root cause of equipment failure and make recommendations for long-term fixes.
• Lead the troubleshooting and proper documentation (maintenance log book) of all maintenance-related items
• Follow-up on outstanding maintenance shift issues from previous shift, Enter appropriate work requests for required follow-up work.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of troubleshooting resources (prints, manuals, job plans, tools, spare parts, etc.)
• Installation, manufacturing and Calibration of equipment or machinery
• Maintain lockout certifications as assigned
