Maintenance Mechanic - Weekend Shift (6am -6pm Fri.-Sun.) (Chittenango, NY) (Finance)

This position is eligible for a $1,000 sign-on bonus and a 5% bonus plan. Hourly rate ranges from $25 to $35. Scheduled for 36 hours but paid for 40!

Position Overview: Performs duties related to installing and troubleshooting plant production equipment. This is a weekend shift position working Friday to Sunday, 6am-6pm, with overtime as needed.

Major Responsibilities:

1. Order and maintain supplies to support all maintenance functions.
2. Provide basic maintenance support for startup operations such as lights, dust collectors, air filtration systems, etc.
3. Monitor machines or equipment to detect malfunctions and discuss operation variations with supervisors or maintenance staff to diagnose problems or repair machines.
4. Dismantle defective machines and equipment, and install new or repaired parts.
5. Design, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; repair and replace components.
6. Design, assemble, and install electronic control systems for production machinery and automated equipment, including gauges, valves, and pressure regulators.
7. Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair machine control systems utilizing programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
8. Repair and maintain the physical structure of the facility.
9. Ensure adherence to all safety policies, practices, and procedures.

Requirements:

1. Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or related experience/training, or an equivalent combination.
2. Experience with forklift operation preferred.
