Bobcat is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in Wahpeton, North Dakota. In this hands-on role, you'll troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment and help keep our operations running safely and efficiently. You don't necessarily need to come from a manufacturing maintenance background. We're interested in mechanically inclined candidates with transferable experience in areas such as automotive or diesel repair, agricultural equipment, heavy equipment, industrial maintenance, welding and fabrication, military maintenance, or related mechanical fields.

You will train on the day shift, Monday - Friday, before transitioning to their normal shift.

Role & Responsibility

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll work hands-on with machinery and equipment throughout our Wahpeton facility. Your responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment to identify problems, causes, and appropriate repairs.
• Repair, replace, adjust, and align machinery and equipment components.
• Work with equipment operators to diagnose malfunctions and evaluate equipment performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections to help identify issues before they lead to downtime.
• Test equipment after repairs or adjustments to verify proper operation.
• Weld, fabricate, machine, remanufacture, or modify parts and assemblies when needed.
• Use hand and power tools along with hoists, lift trucks, cranes, loaders, and other equipment.
• Maintain equipment and facilities while following established safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Support other maintenance needs throughout the facility as necessary.

Job Requirement

We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on mechanical work, problem solving, and learning new equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions in English.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors.
• Ability to follow established work methods, procedures, and safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a manufacturing environment and respond to time-sensitive equipment needs.
• Ability to complete required on-the-job, classroom, equipment, and safety training.

Experience That Could Translate Well Into This Role Includes

• Industrial or manufacturing maintenance
• Automotive or diesel repair

Previous manufacturing maintenance experience is welcome, but it isn't the only path to being successful in this role.
