Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, part of LifeBridge Health, seeks a Maintenance Mechanic to keep hospital facilities running safely and efficiently. New hires train on day shift for about 90 days before transitioning to night shift on a tenured team led by a Journeyman.

You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, troubleshoot a range of trades, and contribute to patient care by keeping critical systems up and running. Union wage with night differential and paid time off are included.

Qualifikationen

Aufgaben

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance across building systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, plumbing issues; address lighting, thermostats, drains, traps, and pneumatic tubes.
• Assist Journeyman and mentor new staff as assigned.
• Document all work activity in the CMMS per guidelines.
• Read and interpret work orders and blueprints to complete tasks correctly the first time.

The Facilities team keeps hospital operations running safely and efficiently around the clock, directly supporting patient care behind the scenes. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you'll perform scheduled and unscheduled repairs alongside a Journeyman, on a tenured team known for collaboration and strong leadership. New hires train on day shift for approximately 90 days before transitioning to night shift.

Responsibilities

• Keep building systems running by performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and assisting the Journeyman across a wide range of trades
• Manage and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing issues, from lighting and thermostats to drains, traps, and pneumatic tube systems
• Extend the team's reach on painting, patching, and finish work across interior and exterior surfaces and fixtures
• Drive accountability on documentation, logging all work activity in the Computer Maintenance Management System per departmental guidelines
• Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and technical instructions to complete assignments correctly the first time
• Mentor newly assigned employees and support higher-classification staff as assigned

Qualifications

• One year of experience with basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing components and systems
• HS Diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical diagrams
• Comfortable using hand tools and trade-specific equipment (wire/cable/bolt cutters, crimpers, soldering iron, etc. …)
• Basic computer proficiency for work order and documentation systems
• Availability for every-other-weekend rotation and on-call emergency callbacks
• Willingness to work night shift after a 90-day day-shift training period
• Reliable, team-oriented approach to shared workload and on-call coverage
