Job summary

Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company, LLC (Bishopville, SC) seeks a Mechanic Manufacturing I trainee to learn and perform preventive maintenance on beverage production equipment. The role includes responding to breakdowns, performing planned and unplanned maintenance, and maintaining a safe work area over an 18-month program with four progression phases.

Responsibilities cover preventive maintenance execution, equipment monitoring, troubleshooting, downtime prevention, and regular communication

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–3 years of work experience preferred.
• Must pass a mechanical aptitude assessment.
• Indoor production facility environment; PPE required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on beverage production equipment and machinery.
• Complete maintenance work orders, document parts usage and forms.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical issues.
• Minimize downtime by supporting line operations during maintenance.
• Communicate milestones and progress with trainer and manager.
• Progress through four structured program phases with hands-on learning.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by supervision.
