Job summary

King’s Command Foods in Versailles, OH is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic I for the third shift to support our production lines and equipment maintenance efforts.

You will assist with servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance on plant machinery, including conveyors, with a focus on safety and accurate logging of activities. Overtime may be required to meet production needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Ability to work in varied temperatures and around moving equipment.
• Ability to work extended hours with overtime.
• Willingness to complete training on safety and GMP practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist higher-level mechanics with servicing, repairing, and testing equipment.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on plant machinery.
• Repair and replace conveyor belts as needed.
• Enforce lockout/tagout procedures and safety protocols.
• Complete maintenance logs and report malfunctions to supervision.

King’s Command Foods has an opportunity for a Maintenance Mechanic I at our Versailles, OH, plant.

As our Maintenance Mechanic, you will:

• Assist higher-level mechanics with duties such as servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily based on mechanical, not electrical principles.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on facility machinery to ensure it runs at 100% capacity to meet day-to-day production demands.
• Conveyor belt repair and replacement.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Complete the required paperwork (e.g., maintenance and repair logs).
• Notify the Manager or supervisor of any malfunctions or repairs needed.

Basic Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a variety of work temperatures, warm, hot, humid, cold, wet, or with slippery surfaces at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts.
• Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the job.
• Ability to work extended scheduled hours Monday through Saturday (occasionally Sunday) with daily overtime. Must be able to work overtime as required. Start times and hours vary based on production needs.
• Ability to complete training:

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior machine operating experience in a USDA-inspected beef, pork, or poultry facility.
• Prior maintenance experience.
• Work history in the last 12 months.
