Job summary

National Park Service in Acadia National Park seeks a Maintenance Mechanic Supervisor in the Facilities Division to lead daily maintenance operations and guide a team toward park goals. The role involves planning, asset condition assessment, resource planning, and oversight of contracted work as needed.

As a supervisor, you will organize projects, ensure compliance with plans, and supervise subcontracted tasks while coordinating with park staff to maintain critical facilities and infrastructure.

  • Determines resource requirements and requisitions needed supplies, materials, equipment and tools.

  • Inspects work in progress and/or upon completion to assure compliance with instructions, plans and other specifications.
  • Serves as Contracting Officers Technical Representative (COTR) on contracted work.
