Job summary

National Park Service in Alaska seeks a Maintenance Mechanic Leader for Denali National Park and Preserve. This career-seasonal role leads maintenance crews, overseeing masonry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks within park infrastructure.

  • Complete work on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Summary

This position is located at Denali National Park and Preserve Park in the Maintenance Division. You will serve as a working Maintenance Mechanic Leader. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will be in a non-pay status from approximately November 22 to December 5 unless other work exists that can be assigned to you during this period.

Major Duties

Some of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following: Serve as a leader of crews working on maintenance projects. Provide instruction and guidance to crews and ensures safety protocols are followed. Complete masonry work on structures as needed. Perform preventative maintenance related to electrical equipment infrastructure in accordance with required codes.
