FULL DESCRIPTION: This position is responsible for electrical and mechanical systems in the facility, including troubleshooting, routine maintenance, and safety and operational improvements.

The responsibilities include:

  • Providing emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance for processing and packaging equipment
  • Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines and facilities
  • Welding and fabrication tasks as needed
  • Electrical connections, troubleshooting, and repairs
  • Minor to major repairs on forklifts and material-handling equipment
  • Effective communication with leads, managers, and plant personnel to ensure safety and minimize downtime

The ideal candidate will also have:

  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED, with relevant experience in food processing or a related field. Ability to weld, troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic systems, read schematics, and perform routine maintenance. Basic computer skills are required.
  • Skills: Ability to interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals in English
  • Physical Demands: Ability to move around the plant, stand for long periods, handle tools, reach, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 lbs. Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception.
  • Work Environment: Wet, noisy plant environment with machinery in operation and high temperatures. Overtime may be required during seasonal peaks. Accommodations can be provided for individuals with disabilities.

Salary Range: $33-$37/hr
