Job summary

Public Service Co. of Oklahoma is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Tulsa to diagnose, repair and maintain mechanical equipment, and to align rotating machinery.

You will use vibration and thermal test tools and maintain records, with duties including scaffolding and welding when required, all under safety rules. Applicants should have a two-year associate degree in power plant technology or engineering technology and 4 years of related maintenance experience, plus ability to read complex prints

Qualifications

• Two-year associate degree in power plant technology, industrial technology, engineering technology or equivalent.
• Military experience or post-high school education with two years of related industrial experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Must read, interpret and work from complex prints and specifications; maintain all qualifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair and maintain mechanical equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Perform alignment on rotating equipment and other types of equipment.
• Use monitoring equipment such as vibration and thermal test equipment to assess equipment conditions.
• Erect and remove scaffolding, rigging and blocking as required.
• Prepare and maintain records; keep work areas clean and orderly.
• If welding, perform all-position welding per specifications.
• Adhere to safety rules and participate in emergency response training.
