Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions in North Carolina is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician to keep high-speed manufacturing equipment running safely and reliably. You will lead maintenance activities, troubleshoot complex systems, and coordinate with teams to meet production goals.

The role requires hands-on expertise with electrical-pneumatic controls, welding, and preventive maintenance programs, along with strong planning and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in a manufacturing plant as a Maintenance Mechanic/Electrician.
• Experience with high-speed equipment and electric-pneumatic controls.
• Able to use MIG welder and ARC welder.
• Able to order parts and maintain inventory of maintenance materials.
• Ability to use a lathe and milling machine is an asset.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems including Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Pumps, Gear Boxes, Power Transmission, Material Handling, Sensor, Transmitters, DC/AC circuits, Transformers, Power and Energy, Arc Flash.
• Experience with Automation; Industrial Process and Control systems; PLC; Measuring Devices; Instrumentation; Robotic Applications; Bulk Handling Systems
• Experience with Facility Maintenance (Roof, Dock, plumbing) and Plant Equipment (Boilers, Air Compressors, Refrigeration, HVAC, etc.).
• Planning, scheduling & assigning ability with prioritization and resources.
• Computer Savvy; Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with changes in direction.

Responsibilities

• Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
• Lead and hold employees accountable in achieving maintenance goals and enhance employee work performance and productivity through coaching and feedback.
• Participate in safety investigations as required.
• Direct the troubleshooting of equipment failures to determine root cause and initiate appropriate remedial action.
• Oversee quality maintenance and repair of equipment to improve availability and reliability for production.
• Execute daily and weekly work schedules to ensure work is completed on time.
• Collect and analyze work delay codes to identify challenges to timely completion of scheduled jobs and work with available resources to reduce delays.
• Ensure preventative maintenance compliance and that repair history is properly documented.
• Assist in sourcing and requisitioning maintenance supplies, equipment, and services within budgeted guidelines.
• Use KPIs such as PM compliance, schedule compliance and break-in work to improve maintenance execution.
• Ensure the company’s current policies, procedures, H&S programs, and corporate security guidelines are applied effectively in 2 ways communication.
