You will be responsible for executing preventative maintenance, repairs, and tasks across hospital systems, including equipment, utilities, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, as well as light construction, painting, groundskeeping, security, and floor care.

Become the Maintenance Mechanic you always wanted to be

  • Test and operate emergency power supply systems (EPSS) and components safely and effectively.
  • Install, maintain, and repair mechanical, electrical, HVAC, pneumatic, oxygen, and telephone systems.
  • Work independently within assigned time frames under supervisor guidance.
  • Retain skills in auto, carpentry, phone, pneumatics, stationary engineering, hydraulics, and computing.
  • Plan, interpret, examine, draw, record work, and report daily completion to supervisor.
  • Perform control maintenance, building construction, repair, and equipment overhaul within required time frames.
  • Maintain knowledge of all facility systems and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Licensing in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC fields preferred.
  • Valid driver's license may be required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in preventative maintenance, equipment repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or construction; healthcare experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekdays, weekends, evenings, or nights if needed.
  • Physical ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
  • Ability to tolerate frequent position changes and work on ladders and scaffolds.
  • Ability to work safely with hazardous materials.
