Job summary

Teknor Apex Company, a globally active manufacturer with nine U.S. locations, is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for the 1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM). You will join our manufacturing team to maintain equipment and support operations at the site.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, and 4+ years of relevant mechanical experience is preferred. PPE will be required, with lifting up to 45 pounds and English literacy essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; a 2-year technical degree preferred.
• Minimum four years of relevant mechanical experience preferred.
• Millwright/precision mechanic experience preferred.
• General knowledge of electrical gear, motors, and controls.
• Able to read, write, and comprehend documents in English.
• Must wear PPE (earplugs, gloves, safety glasses, hard hats, steel-toed shoes).
• May be required to stand, walk, climb, and lift up to 45 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Exhibit a safety-conscious approach to work.
• Communicate and collaborate with others to resolve issues.
• Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical problems across the site.
• Operate a forklift and scissor lift.
• Perform precision work: welding, pipe fitting, rigging, lubrication.
