Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods in Norwich, CT is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our DC equipment running safely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain conveyors, PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and related systems while following PM standards and documenting work in our asset management system.

The role requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent, 3–5 years of experience, welding and cutting skills, and the ability to read electrical/mechanical drawings.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or two-year vocational/technical certificate in mechanical or electrical field.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience.
• Welding, burning, cutting.
• Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, gear boxes & PLC controls.
• Able to read electrical/mechanical drawings/schematics.
• Good safety awareness and ability to work with LOTO.
• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull & lift up to 75 lbs.
• Experience with LOTO.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to OSHA safety requirements including LOTO and safe work practices.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment related to the facility and conveyance systems; follow PM standards and document work in asset management system; areas include PLCs, conveyors, 3-phase electric, hydraulics, pneumatics, plumbing.
• Accurately report spare parts inventory levels and daily parts usage to Maintenance leadership.
• Assist in teammate development by training junior technicians to elevate performance.
• Work closely with outside vendors to complete projects within the DCs safely and timely.
• Take on other duties as needed to support the DC and its operational needs.
