Job summary

U-Haul is hiring a Facility Maintenance Mechanic to keep our plant running smoothly. You will perform maintenance and repair tasks, from electrical to carpentry, ensuring high quality standards are met daily.

You will be responsible for tool control, ordering supplies, and budget management while passing a drug screen and background check. Strong safety awareness is essential in this role.

Facility Maintenance Mechanic Primary Responsibilities:

• Daily attendance critical to plant success

Maintenance Mechanic Minimum Qualifications:

• Advanced knowledge of pneumatic tools
• Computer expertise
• Driver’s license and ability to maintain a clean record

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, e.g. working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritant chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing, or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
