Title: Maintenance Mechanic (Phoenix, AZ)

This hourly position works Monday through Friday 6 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

Drug Plastics, a leading manufacturer of bottles and closures for medicinal, wellness, and lifestyle products, is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic to support all plastic injection molding machines, support equipment, and building maintenance operations.

Position Overview

• Maintain machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting malfunctions
• Detect and repair malfunctions and defects in electrical systems
• Maintain records of service cycles and maintenance activities
• Report damages, defects, and issues regarding electrical units to the supervisor

Some Responsibilities Include

• For the injection molding machines, troubleshoot and complete repairs on electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems; remove injection screws, inspect, clean, and reinstall
• Repair auxiliary equipment such as grinders, dryers, thermolaters, compressors, chillers, central loading systems, etc.
• Resolve building maintenance problems and install new equipment as necessary
• Research and install equipment to improve processes or support system operations
• Install automation/support equipment for injection molding machines (e.g., Cincinnati, Toshiba, Husky) and modify equipment to improve workflow or quality
• Keep equipment and work areas clean and organized
• Maintain full qualification in all aspects of the Maintenance Mechanic position as outlined in job competencies
• Follow safety guidelines, company policies, and GMPs
• Assist lining and process mechanics as required to support overall plant performance
