Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to keep patient rooms and the facility safe, clean, and functioning. You will perform maintenance tasks, monitor work orders, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires 3-5 years of maintenance experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and good communication. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite is expected, and a High School diploma or GED is required.

• Excellent mechanical aptitude.
• 3 to 5 years Maintenance experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance functions to keep patient rooms and interior/exterior environment safe, clean, and functioning.
• Monitor work orders and ensure regulatory requirements are followed.
• Maintain all equipment and coordinate with team to keep projects on schedule.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

• Previous maintenance experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
• Painting, plumbing, mechanical, heating/ac experience.
• High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
• Ability to direct staff and keep projects on schedule.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

• Black Seal Boiler License.
