MAINTENANCE MECHANIC - NIGHTS

Pilgrim’s wants YOU to join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic. This position starts at $26.54 – $28.09 /hour plus $1/hour shift differential and offers a $4/hour perfect attendance bonus paid weekly.

Position Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for assisting the maintenance department with plant maintenance.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist with necessary repairs of equipment, property, and the building.
• Maintain accurate communication with other mechanics and departments.
• Support station mechanic and operator basic functions of machinery and equipment.
• Use electrical testing equipment effectively.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and communicate them to supervisor or lead person.
• Conduct routine preventative maintenance (PMs) on equipment with minimal supervision.
• Maintain shop 6s policies and cleanliness.
• Other duties as required.

Educational Requirements and Basic Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and percentage calculations.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to pass a Prove It test.
• Two years’ experience in maintenance preferred.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience with maintenance power tools.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical procedures.
• Flexibility to work weekends as needed.
