Job summary

Pacific Coast Producers (PCP) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for the Night Shift at our Lodi, CA Distribution Center. This full-time, on-site role runs 11:00 PM–7:30 AM with occasional weekend overtime.

You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical issues, and support production goals while following safety and PPE protocols. A minimum of 5 years industrial maintenance experience and forklift operation ability are required; basic fabrication, hydraulic, pneumatic,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
• Must be able to operate a forklift and carry tools.
• Basic fabrication, hydraulic, pneumatic, welding and plumbing knowledge.
• Knowledge of vacuum systems, motion control systems, and HVAC; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively with other Mechanics to align maintenance with production goals.
• Perform and oversee routine preventive maintenance, inspections and repairs.
• Diagnose mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to restore functionality.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve maintenance procedures and equipment performance.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pacific Coast Producers (PCP), a growing agricultural cooperative with food production facilities across the West Coast, is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Mechanic (Night Shift) to join our team at our Distribution Center in Lodi, CA. PCP is dedicated to investing in its people and fostering a culture of service, where each employee can do their best to make affordable, high-quality food for customers across North America.

The Distribution Center is a 1.5m sq. ft. packaging, labeling and distribution facility with approximately 400 employees. The DC operation supports both retail and foodservice customers and labels, cases, and ships nationwide approximately fifty (50) million cases every year. With its advanced technology, commitment to quality control, and dedication to sustainability, our Distribution Center is a model for excellence in distribution and logistics.

Pay Rate: $36.54 per hour. This is a full-time, night shift (11pm to 7:30am), on-site role (40 hours per week), with occasional weekend and overtime hours required as needed. This position is part of a seniority based Collective Bargaining Unit (CBA) and must be available for third shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Communicate effectively and work closely with other Mechanics and other maintenance professionals to align maintenance and repair efforts with production goals or facility-specific needs.
• Perform and oversee routine preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Learn to diagnose mechanical issues, identify root causes of failures, and implement effective solutions to restore functionality quickly and efficiently
• Help to ensure adherence to safety protocols and follow applicable standards.
• Learn to identify opportunities to enhance maintenance procedures, recommend upgrades or adjustments to equipment, and contribute to overall operational efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Available to work night shift (11pm to 7:30am) and weekends as needed
• Reliable and able to maintain excellent attendance.
• Significant (5+ years) relevant industrial experience.
• Committed to safety and food safety, including use of appropriate PPE.
• Must possess and use personal hand tools.
• Basic fabrication capabilities, and fundamental hydraulic, pneumatic, welding, and plumbing knowledge and experience.
• Knowledge of vacuum systems, motion control systems, and HVAC systems. Must possess at least basic computer knowledge.
• Certified ability to operate/drive a forklift (a.k.a. industrial lift truck).
• Ability to create and review machine drawings and schematics.
